Overalls in every color and material have made a huge comeback this year, Kamala Harris Yes We Kam Shoes Converse Shirt but it’s the black styles in particular that we have our eyes on. Classic and timeless, black is the most universally flattering color and will never go out of season. We’re loving how fashion girls are wearing black overalls this season, whether in denim, satin, or leather. Dress them up with a feminine blouse and heels, or dress them down with a white T-shirt and sneakers—the possibilities are endless. They’re versatile and virtually seasonless, so you can never go wrong a pair of black overalls. We all want to look like our most polished selves, don’t we? While, sadly, I’m not here to provide you with a week at a spa or an endless allowance at The Row, I am here to bring you a treasure trove of the most expensive-looking pieces on the high street every week. It’s my mission to prove that you can find premium pieces to elevate your wardrobe without the designer price tag and to make it easy for you to pinpoint the items on the high street that are really worth adding to your wardrobe. There are some amazing gems out there that your friends won’t believe aren’t designer, but there’s a lot to sift through to find them. That’s where I come in. As a Who What Wear editor, I scroll new-in collections as a hobby, and I can spot an expensive-looking (and -feeling) piece a mile away. I’ll be adding the best bits I find to this list. Some may be more “affordable” than others, but you can be confident every piece is here because I believe it offers great value.

And if so, you’re not alone. As we slowly emerge from our collective hibernation and restrictions begin to ease across the country, there seems to be a renewed sense of enthusiasm that comes with getting dressed. Whether it be popping out for a quick coffee with a friend or venturing to your local park, Brits are finding reasons to dress up. Proving exactly this sentiment, last month, photographer Michaela Efford and I ventured to East London’s Broadway Market (a hot spot for fashion lovers, if you don’t already know that) in search of some stylish individuals to photograph. On our way, we serendipitously came across familiar influencers, models-off-duty, fashion designers, and other creatives, all of whom were strolling through their local shopping strip with style to boot. From vintage leather jackets to spring-ready floral dresses and Converse high-tops by the dozen, keep scrolling to see what women are really wearing in London right now.
